Why do we Blog?
We ask ourselves this question from time to time.
Who reads it anyway? And why do they read it.
We can’t answer those questions but the amount of times people have commented that “I saw that on your blog” or “Its been awhile since you wrote on the blog” keeps us writing about some of the things we do.
It’s time consuming that’s for sure. But even if no one read it we now realise that we read it.
I have always kept a journal of our family holidays and those books are sitting in a packing box somewhere in the storage shed.
Putting the blog on the internet is a lot easier. It’s easier to read and we can add photo’s that mean something to us and give a meaningful picture to revitalise the experience.
The old journals never captured that. I’m sure there is a snap shot somewhere in an old photo album of the kids fishing or swimming in a creek.
Between us Chris and I have 7 kids, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and friends, all of whom we talk too. We didn’t want to repeat the same
stories of what we are doing and where we are. So the blog covered all that. The blog has changed a appearance a few times, different features added. This latest theme is because Chris believed the blog
needed another face lift and it would be a good opportunity for me to start from scratch and build the web page.
So behind the scenes I have built this one. There was no great rush, I could work out problems by myself which is always the best way to learn. And not having to worrying about the blog site going down, there was no pressure.
So whether anyone reads the blog we will continue to write it, even if it ends up just bringing back memories for us in our old age.
